About Me
I’m Marcin Piotrowicz — an architect based in Belfast, working with homeowners on older houses, extensions, remodelling and fabric-first upgrade strategies. My focus is on shaping homes around light, space, comfort and everyday life, with technical care built in from the start. I’m also a certified Passive House designer, bringing a rigorous fabric-first approach where it genuinely helps the project.
How I Help
I help homeowners improve older Belfast and Northern Ireland houses through architect-led design, remodelling, extensions and fabric-first upgrade strategies. The work usually starts with understanding the house, the client’s priorities, and whether the project needs design, approvals, technical coordination or a more careful fabric-first upgrade strategy.
My Process
Every project starts with understanding the house, the client’s priorities, and whether the work is mainly about space, approvals, technical coordination, fabric-first upgrades, or a mix of these.
I normally begin with an initial conversation, then a more detailed look at the property and brief. From there, I can advise whether the project is a good fit and what level of design, consultant input or approvals may be needed.
The aim is to move carefully from early options to a clear route forward, without pretending that every older house needs the same answer.
