To my observation, in recent years planning process exposed me to the tendency of planners to carefully consider access to light and views from neighbouring houses. This sketch is looking into creation of a room with parallel and perpendicular walls which at the same time would fulfil often requested view from First Floor Level windows for neighbouring houses. The requirement often is that extension at ground floor level should not pass line that is drawn from middle of neighbours nearest window at the angle of 60 degrees. Same requirement for First Floor Level windows often is 45 degrees. 45 degrees prompted me to create room which would have a far reaching corner of 90 degrees, which would result from intersection of two limiting lines drawn from neigbours windows (45 degrees + 45 degrees = 90 degrees).
